Some people asked me why I keep defending or speaking positively about the UAE. Some even asked if I’m getting paid to do it. The truth is much simpler. I was raised to appreciate the people and places that treat me well. I didn’t come here to avoid taxes I don’t even pay taxes in my home country. I came here, built friendships, built a life, and found people who treated me with respect and kindness. When a country gives you good memories, good friends, and a place to grow, the least you can do is stand by it. Leaving in difficult moments would be easy. I could book a flight right now. But what would that say about me? If I walk away from a place and people who stood with me for years just because things get tough, then how could anyone trust me in the future? Loyalty matters. Character matters. I love this country, and I’m proud to stand with it. And this photo with my friend Abo Nhyan Al Mansouri is a reminder of one of the many reasons I’m here and why I’m not going anywhere. 🇦🇪
