Before you do, try putting yourself in their shoes, imagine someone made a golden statue of you and placed it in front of the White House. What would you do? Personally, I’d feel honoured and humbled by the gesture.
Yes, we all know there’s a token behind it, but it’s a free market. If you don’t like the meme, simply don’t buy it. Everyone also knows that engagement drives price action. So what’s the right move?
Ignore it and get called arrogant, or interact and get called out anyway?
At the end of the day, memes are supposed to be fun. If you can’t enjoy the humour, maybe it’s not for you.
And let’s be honest, the loudest complaints usually come from people who feel they missed a chance to profit. That’s not moral outrage, it’s just another form of greed.
