If true decentralization is the goal, then compliance must eventually be left behind. Compliance was never designed to protect DeFi, it was created to keep it under the control of the same institutions DeFi set out to replace. We’re not fully decentralized yet, but the path forward is clear: free the system from compliance, and the people from control.
