Let’s dive into the @aave Rescue Plan Status (as of April 24, 2026)
Here’s a clear breakdown of the current pledges, recoveries, and coverage for the bad debt from the @KelpDAO rsETH bridge exploit:
Confirmed Pledges / Contributions:
• Lido: 2,500 ETH
• EtherFi: 5,000 ETH
• Stani (Aave Labs): 5,000 ETH
• Golem Foundation: 1,000 ETH
• Mantle: 30,000 ETH loan
• Arbitrum: Frozen assets ≈ $71M
• rsETH recovery: ≈ $35M
Confirmed Participants (amounts TBD):
• Ethena → amount to be disclosed
• LayerZero (L0) → amount to be disclosed
• Frax Finance → just announced joining (amount undisclosed)
• INK Foundation → joined (amount undisclosed)
Current Totals & Gap:
• Total pledged / recovered so far: ≈ $207 million
• Total shortfall: 112,204 rsETH ≈ $258 million
• Remaining gap: ≈ $50 million
Aave’s Internal Coverage (No external shortfall needed):
• Aave Treasury: Holds ≈ $180 million in assets
• Umbrella insurance: ≈ $56 million
Even if Aave covers the remaining ~$50M gap itself, the numbers already add up to full coverage. More rescue funds are expected, and the overall trend is clearly improving
