Thank you so much Legend. This could be super super nice of you.
Donate any amount of $cc to our validator, for example 0.852 cc (852 stands for Hong Kong; donating any amount ending with 852 has become a cultural symbol — an on-chain prayer/blessing,in tech side also easy to identify and filter on chain);
Leave the rest to us: we’ll handle converting it to Hong Kong dollars and donating the funds to verified charitable organizations on behalf of you (we selet Po Leung Kuk charity funds who direct donate 30K hkd per family immediately)
Thanks to Canton’s economic model, we will match 100% of all proceeds/revenue generated from this donation.
More thoughts after this experiment for your info:
1, The Canton Network currently boasts over 600 Validators spread globally. As trusted nodes that have completed KYB procedures, they make ideal partners for managing charitable funds. For instance, as a Hong Kong-based node in this initiative, we possess a natural compliance advantage for executing subsequent operations. Furthermore, as network nodes, there is absolutely no incentive for malicious behavior.
2,In my view, the essence of this donation model lies in combining authentic on-chain activity with the collective support of network participants (via node rewards). It creates a highly meaningful structure where genuine intent initiates the donation, which is then bolstered by the entire network.
3, It would be beneficial if the Canton Network could establish long-term mechanisms and rules—such as caps on per-transaction donation amounts(100K CC or 100K USD)or duration limits for campaigns(24Hrs 48Hrs etc)—to ensure the sustainable development of these charitable operations and also for the netwroks.
4,In the event of a disaster, temporary "charity nodes" could be established to collect donations. (These could function similarly to Featured App nodes, depending on the speed of committee decisions, or involve designating existing network Validators). All resulting data would be transparently recorded on-chain, available for public verification across the network.
5,The data regarding on-chain donors in this instance is also quite interesting.
It reveals a long-tail distribution: out of 793 unique addresses, approximately 750 donated only once. This represents a very authentic expression of donor intent. and probably a proof of on-chain donation is a real intention-based economic activity and it fits the value of Canton network.
Thanks so much for reading my long sum ups and one important things , kindly send your any amount of donation into our validator :
