Old E Encrypted Diary --- @useTria: Web3's "invisible killer"? Part 2 Today I'll take a look at its ambitions and weaknesses and, incidentally, give the team a few tricks, Hello, I am old E, usually love on X Tucao those fancy DeFi projects, occasionally dig some real money potential stocks. Having nothing to do today, talk about @useTria. I just brushed their official website and a bunch of community feedback again. I can't help but want to write something. Tria is simply a self-managed "crypto new bank" that wants you to spend, trade, and earn money in more than 150 countries as smoothly as using paypal. Does that sound like a lot of coarseness? Yeah, but don't rush allin, I'm going to analyse the straight ball today: what highlights it has, which points it still pulls, and finally give the team some solid advice. Pure dry goods, don't blow it or darken it. Feel free to hit me. Let's start with what tria does. At its core is chain abstraction, using their BestPath technology to run intent markets on Arbitrum, making cross-chain trading as easy as drinking water. No bridge, no gas, you want to jump from ETH to SOL, just click. What about the user side? A wallet with a built-in Visa card that allows you to swipe money directly from your Web3 balance to buy coffee; The developer side, there is an SDK that supports multiple VMs (EVM, SVM, etc.), and building apps does not have to tangle with the underlying chain. Team Background: CEO Vijit Katta is a veteran of Polygon accelerators, with $12 million in financing, backed by Polygon ecology. Close measure data bright eye: Day live 10 thousand, route 7 M dollar, income 800 thousand dollar. A bunch of people in the community are shouting "finally no bridge, more transactions," which is not empty talk, Tria is really addressing the pain point of crypto - 43% of newcomers are running away because it is too complicated. But then again, Tria isn't perfect. After digging X and Reddit, there are a few knives hidden in the community feedback, and I choose to focus on these shortcomings. It wasn't picking a bone in an egg, but it was a genuine feeling that these pits wouldn't be filled and the project would easily end in half. First, supervise the elephant in the room. Visa cards across 150 countries may sound romantic, but crypto + payments will never escape KYC and anti-money laundering scrutiny. If a country's policy changes, the card will stop. Some in the community complained:“It's easy to spend money, but what about refunds? If anything happens, who will take the blame?”Tria claims to be self-hosted, but once the card feature went online, it felt like playing with fire. Not that they can't, but that the risk is like a time bomb that scares off conservative users. Second, the abstraction layer is too ideal, and the actual liquidity is too weak. The BestPath cow is looking for the optimal path, but what about the depth across the VM? ETH and SOL pool OK, MoveVM or new chain on it? In my experience, occasionally the router gets stuck in a "low liquidity" warning, and the transaction fee rises a bit. Developer feedback is also much: SDK is easy to use, but when integrating third-party protocols, data synchronization is slow and debug is big. In short, Tria wants to be a "universal wayfarer," but Web3 is too fragmented, and the current abstraction is like a half-finished bridge, and the wind blows. Third, the community is weak, and the narrative is too technical and emotional. Financial money, live up, but X followers only 80,000, Discord activity in general. Posts are mostly product updates, rarely user stories or AMAs. Compared to those who love to talk about "changing the world," Tria is too low-key. And what happened? A newcomer comes in and doesn't understand what an "intent market" means, so he runs away. Statistically, TVL is rising fast, but staked user retention is low, which feels more like short-term speculation than true faith. These shortcomings are not fatal, but left alone, Tria can easily go from "the next Uniswap" to "just another bridge." I scanned their roadmap, and the team is pushing the multi-chain SDK and governance, but the pace is faster. Then again, i'm not here to break up the podium. As an old bird, I am really optimistic about Tria's direction - crypto should not be a geek's toy, it should be used by aunt.
