All the crypto centralized and decentralized exchanges entering the African market seem to be focused solely on volume partnerships. Every time they approach me, the question is always, “How much volume can you bring us?” 😭 I believe that’s the wrong approach to doing business in Africa. The reality is, there are still many barriers to full participation in cryptocurrency across the continent. One major gap is education — people need accessible ways to learn and truly understand crypto. Some of us are already doing our best to bridge that gap — and this is exactly where these companies should be investing. You have to invest in the people before you can expect to profit from them. Crypto firms must understand: there’s still a lot of groundwork to be done in Africa before they can fully reap the benefits of this market.
