I think what we need to understand more is why American investors would so openly include such a goal in an incentive plan. In any country outside the US, such an unrealistic goal would only be talk; it wouldn't be taken seriously. Perhaps this is why Musk has succeeded in the US. Some people think sending 1 million people to Mars by rocket is impossible, but consider this: what if it were sending 1 million sperm and eggs? Perhaps one rocket would be enough, considering that each time you manually launch a sperm, you release 40 to hundreds of millions of sperm. Perhaps Musk will even invent an artificial womb.
